Nissan Xterra and Pathfinder Airbag Recalls

Nissan Xterras and Pathfinders that were built between June 1, 2004 and Nov. 19, 2008 have had factory recalls in cold-weather states issued for the crash zone sensor (CZS) housing in their airbag systems. This affects more than 242,000 Nissan vehicles originally sold in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Washington D.C. Affected model years are 2005 to 2009 for the Xterra and 2006 to 2009 for the Pathfinder. The issues can trigger unnecessary airbag lights and also affect the deployment of the airbag. If you have customers with these vehicles, let them know to visit the dealer for this important safety recall. The NHTSA campaign number is 08V690000.
