Audison’s Thesis TH speaker set includes a three-way component kit (orchestra), a two-way component kit (coro) and a 10-inch subwoofer (basso, pictured). The Audison TH orchestra set includes a 3-inch midrange, 1.5-inch tweeter (both running 8 ohm voice coils) and a 6 ohm 6.5-inch mid-woofer. AudioControl is shipping the LC8i, an eight-channel signal processor with active input circuitry that accepts speaker-level inputs of up to 400 watts per channel from factory source units or amplifiers.

The processor converts signals from those units to high-quality pre-amp signals that can then be directed to aftermarket processors or amplifiers, while retaining factory volume and steering wheel controls.

The LC8i is equipped with an auxiliary input that allows the addition of secondary source units such as iPods and satellite radio tuners. By tapping the dash control knob, a user can switch back and forth between the main speaker-level inputs and the auxiliary input.

The LC8i arrives with internal signal summing, output level controls for signal matching and a high-current 12-volt-turn-on output. The LC8i is also equipped with AutoMode signal routing, including bypass switching.

As an addition to Omega’s Proline brand, the MC-1 features waterproof construction and an on-board dual-zone tilt sensor to alert you to tampering much quicker than a system with a shock sensor. The tilt sensor is completely adjustable from the remotes, allowing for fine-tuning on the fly. It also has an on-board starter interrupt circuit, an extra channel-out for remote start or other add-ons, a waterproof valet and status-light combination holder, auto arming, programmable PIN-code override and trigger input.

Kenwood USA Corp. is shipping a pair of “Gouriki” Excelon amplifiers (X1200M and X600F) that incorporate dual power supplies for better current transfer and improved dynamics, according to the company.

The X1200M (with a suggested retail price of $500) employs Class D-rated power at 800 watts (RMS) at 4 ohms, 1,200 watts (RMS) at 2 ohms and a maximum power rating of 2,400 watts. The X1200M is stable at 1-ohm operation.

Dual Sigma Drive circuitry is used to improve the amplifier’s damping factor, which means more control over subwoofers. A continuously variable low-pass filter (50Hz to 200Hz) helps to tune the subwoofer system for maximum output, while a variable infrasonic filter (15Hz to 40Hz) cuts low-frequency output at the point where it is not audible, increasing amplifier efficiency and lowering distortion.

A pre-amp output on the X1200M allows for the addition of multiple amplifiers and ensures equally-matched crossover points and input levels.

NAV-TV Corp. has introduced the VehicleDock, which allows a user to display metadata, remotely control playback and charge the portable music device. The system includes a hideaway unit that’s controlled by either the supplied remote control or from the factory radio when paired with a NAV-TV interface. The VehicleDock can use a factory audio/video input to allow an iPod to play music or video, and display pictures in a slide show. The product lets the user have full control of their iPod via an infrared (IR) remote control or on the iPod itself. The head unit displays available information about the album, artist and song.
